Succinyladenosine (S-Ado) is a biochemical marker of adenylosuccinase deficiency - the genetic defect of purine de novo synthesis. S-Ado has been previously reported as normally undetectable in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) of children not suffering from this defect.
